koalice

a misshapen ball molded by the hands of a

small, uncertain toddler.

a slab of melting cinnabar-dusk-red clay

texturing itself a smooth-roughness

of blunted sand-paper / faded sea-glass.

a fire & velvet whirlwind of

watercolors that’s never been blended.

an untouched sunset.

until the sun-spotted constellation appear

(a slip of the young-amateur’s hand)

dusting pale-yellow stars across a crimson-set sky.

my tears bubble down my cheeks like rice krispies

gurgling in the thick, un-escapable flow of slick, smooth milk.

pop crackle & snap!

under tension and under pressure,

over-pouring & over-spilling a stream of rivery-elmer’s glue

drowns sweet dry (innocent) cereal.

a convicting, cold, colorless cloud

takes, pokes & prods holey-vulnerabilities.

soggy cereal sinks into bleached & liquified

melted-mercury that fills & expands empty wounds

until there are no more holes to perfuse or abuse.
